PH2223 : Lab Measurements of g

(Updated 23 March, including data from 25 students.)

This table shows the g measurements for each student. If you haven't sent me your lab report (pdf, docx, spreadsheet, etc) please do so. Participation in this will be part of the grade rounding-up I do at the end of the course (along with stopping by for help, doing the online homework that show you've put in a little extra effort).

The first column in the table is the last 5 digits of your student number.

The next 10 columns are your 'g' measurements.

As of 04 April, 26 students have provided reports that include the 10 measurements of g. The overall class average of those 260 measurements is 9.762 (plus or minus 0.300). The true value of around 9.81 (the red line in the graph) is well within this range, and with the missing students' data added, the estimate should be even more accurate.
