Entering and Leaving — make it flow
Check in with a supervisor before starting new tasks. Confirm PPE requirements and keep the shop clear of food or open drinks.
- Wear eye protection at all times in active work areas.
- Secure loose clothing and tie back long hair.
- Leave work areas cleaner than you found them.
Respect for Equipment — the potential
Use equipment only after completing the relevant training module and requesting approval.
- Inspect tools before use and report damage immediately.
- Use the right tool for the job; do not improvise with unsafe setups.
- Return tools to their proper storage locations after cleanup.
Emergencies and First Aid— keeping all things well
If an incident occurs, stop work immediately and alert the shop manager or supervisor.
- Know the location of first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits.
- Call 911 for serious injuries and notify departmental staff.
- Document incidents so procedures can be improved.
